Above the Ljubljana marshes
Starting point: Iška village 337m
Altitude difference: 770m
When you have just half-day of time, you go and hike the closest hill. Krim, the south guard of Ljubljana. We haven’t been up there for ages. I think when Sunny kid was about a year and a half 😉 Here she is 🙂
Krim is a really nice viewpoint when the air is clear. You can see the Ljubljana marshes, the city, and the Kamnik Savinja Alps. On very clear days also Triglav can be spotted.
We took this day as an opportunity to run. Uphill, just a slow run or fast walk. To make it easier I only took water with us and Sunny kid was willing to leave her backpack at home if only she can try to run up. We mixed running, quick walking and a few breathing exercises and made it up in less than an hour and a half. Not bad. And we had fun. Yeah. I like running on the forest paths, always did, but higher in the mountains, I still prefer to not be in a hurry and enjoy the moments, the feeling and the views.
